Course Description

This introductory course provides students the opportunity to examine this dynamic and diverse service industry. Students will explore positions and career paths and develop plans to gain the technical and transferable skills required
to succeed in this program and in hospitality and tourism. The sectors of the industry and their interrelationships are covered; this includes transportation, accommodation, food and beverage, recreation and entertainment, and travel
services. As well, students will analyze and discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities to develop a growth mindset.
